Doing Business at the Airport

Airport Access

You are required to have a badge in order to have access within the fenced areas of the airport.

Private (Non-Commercial) access to the hangars can be requested by aircraft owners. The airport will issue up to two badges for each aircraft owner. Please fill out a Badge-Key Application for each individual requesting access. Accompany this paperwork with a copy of your aircraft registration indicating your name as an owner. Corporations will need to submit registered owners on letterhead.

Commercial (All other access) request must be accompanied with a Badge Request Authorized Agent Request Letter and Authorized Agent Designation. This letter will designate one or more of your employees that can request access, on behalf of your company, for individuals that need access within the fenced area.

Commercial Activity information

Thank you for locating your business at the Tupelo Airport. If you provide services to the public, you are required to have a Commercial Activity permit from the Airport and a Privilege License from the City of Tupelo. Please let us know how we may assist you with the paperwork.

Please fill out and submit the following forms to the airport Administration office.

  • Commercial Non-Commercial Activity Application (Fees apply)
  • For buisness that was to become tenants at the airport please fill out the following.
    • City Of Tupelo Certificate of Occupancy
    • City Of Tupelo Privilege License (please include a separate check to the City of Tupelo)

Disclosure

The Tupelo Airport Authority (Authority) owns and operates Tupelo Regional Airport in Tupelo, Mississippi. As set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by way of its Airport Sponsor Assurances, any airport developed with Federal grant assistance is required to operate for the use and benefit of the public and is to be made available to all types, kinds, and classes of aeronautical activity on fair and reasonable terms and without unjust discrimination. As the airport sponsor, Authority receives Federal airport development funding. This Rates and Fees Policy will assist Authority in maintaining compliance with the Airport Sponsor Assurances, so as not to jeopardize the ability to obtain future Federal airport development funding. This policy has further been developed to assist the authority to compete fairly with other airports and to maintain fiscal responsibility and oversight of the assets entrusted to the Authority by the residents of the State of Mississippi.
